Surveys The NE CDC recently conducted the two surveys regarding Central Avenue. The first - the Central Avenue Consumer Intercept Survey (download the results here) was conducted from August 8, 2005 - August 22, 2005 on Central Avenue. The purpose of this survey was to gain data on shopping patterns and people's opinions of Central Avenue by those who visited Central Avenue. The second survey is a random telephone survey of residents in Northeast Minneapolis, inquiring into their shopping patterns on Central Avenue and what would motivate them to shop on Central Avenue more often. The second survey has not yet been completed but a DRAFT of the findings from 194 completed telephone surveys is available (download draft report here).

The Design Center created an educational PowerPoint on the ABCs of development. The PowerPoint was based on a handout created for the Corridor Housing Initiative and featured illustrated definitions of common terms used in development. The original handout and other housing related materials can be found here. Credits: The project team included Ann Forsyth, Katie Thering, Amanda Johnson, Laura Baum, and Jorge Salcedo.
